『ヨッシーアイランド』より テーマ曲をピアノで Yoshi's Island theme on piano
漫画家・イラストレーターの金子デメリンと申します。 『スーパーマリオ ヨッシーアイランド』は、マリオが赤ちゃんだったときの話を題材にした名作ゲームソフトです。そこで問題になってくるのが、「それはいつの話なのか」という点、つまり、マリオの年齢です。マリオの年齢については「２６歳」をはじめ諸説あるようですが、私にとってその設定は違和感を禁じえないものでした。そこで思い浮かんだのが、ハリウッド映画『スーパーマリオ 魔界帝国の女神』です。同映画撮影時のボブ・ホスキンス（マリオ役）の年齢である「４９歳」ならば、なんともしっくりくるではありませんか。以来、マリオは４９歳であると信じて疑わない私なのでした。 そんなわけで、『スーパーマリオ ヨッシーアイランド』のオープニング曲をピアノで弾いてみました。
